Liverpool – the sea capital of British Empire in the 19th century and the largest sea port in Europe. Liverpool was badly destroyed during the Second World War, then had a period of decline after the breakdown of the British Empire, but was revived again in a new modern style. Now Liverpool is famous musical and cultural city on the west of England, birthplace of the legendary “Beatles”.
